Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of TipSplit, a website and software service operated by Noble Venture Labs ("we", "us"). By using TipSplit or subscribing to TipSplit Pro, you agree to them.

1. The service

TipSplit helps businesses calculate how to divide a tip pool among employees and flags common wage-and-hour issues. The free calculator is available to anyone. TipSplit Pro is a paid subscription that adds saved pay periods, employee statements, payroll-ready exports and state rule packs.

TipSplit is a calculation tool only. We do not hold, transfer or pay out tips or wages, and we do not run payroll.

2. Not legal or tax advice

TipSplit's checks and state rule packs are general information based on federal and selected state rules as of the dates shown. Laws change and local rules vary. You are responsible for how you pay your employees and for complying with applicable law. Check with your state labor department or an employment attorney before relying on TipSplit for compliance decisions.

3. Accounts and access

TipSplit Pro is unlocked with a private access link issued after checkout. Keep it confidential. Each subscription covers the number of locations you purchase; please don't share one subscription across more locations than you pay for.

4. Billing

TipSplit Pro is billed monthly in advance, per location, through our payment processor Stripe. Prices are shown at checkout. Promotional discounts apply only for the period stated. We may change prices for future billing periods with at least 30 days' notice by email. Taxes may be added where required.

5. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel anytime from the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep Pro access until then. See our refund policy.

6. Your data

Team and tip data you enter in the calculator stays in your browser and is not sent to our servers. Saved pay periods are stored on your device; you are responsible for keeping backups. See our privacy policy.

7. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service: no attempts to break, overload or reverse-engineer it, bypass payment, or use it for anything unlawful.

8. Warranty disclaimer

TipSplit is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of results. You should review calculations before paying employees.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for wage claims, penalties or lost profits arising from your use of TipSplit. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. If changes are material, we'll notify subscribers by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after that means you accept the updated terms.
